Their target audience of 11,000 customer-facing employees in fifteen call centers nationwide was a diverse group, representing a true cross section of the American work force in terms of age, ethnicity, geography, and job responsibility. Four brochures—one relating to each of the elements—were created, using stylized images. A dramatic mailing box was created to increase interest. More than 200 million game pieces were circulated on the caps of white milk gallons, supported by point-of-sale materials installed in participating grocery stores. Consumers collect game pieces for an opportunity to win a grand prize, promoted with the tag line, "Live Like a Milk Mustache Celebrity for One Year!" The winner gets his or her own milk mustache ad in a national publication, along with a trip for two to the October 2000 World Series, the January 2001 Super Bowl, and Hollywood. A Mexican Mosaic

The program’s theme was the inspiration for a “Mexican Mosaic Bingo” game that was designed to encourage dealerships to focus on the nine-targeted initiatives. In order to qualify for one trip, dealers had to meet the targets for the three main initiatives, represented by three boxes running diagonally left to right on the bingo card. Once those targets were reached, the dealership had the option to earn another trip by meeting the targets for two other initiatives, giving them another line of bingo running horizontally, diagonally or vertically. Dealers who filled in the entire bingo card by meeting all sales targets qualified for a third trip. The 2005 Mexican Mosaic Dealer Incentive Program achieved record-setting numbers. more...

Allied Waste "Dedicated to Safety" Rewards Program

Most of Allied Waste’s 20,000 safety-sensitive workforce either drive or work on trucks. These employees range in age from 20 to 60 and are predominantly male. They had little or no computer access at work. A large percentage of the workforce spoke Spanish as their first language. The industry as a whole is prone to workplace accidents and safety violations.
