Using the Golden Rule to Highlight Leadership and Purpose

This new outreach effort inspired by a recent Enterprise Engagement Alliance YouTube show aims to help people better visualize what great leadership looks like today: people and organizations committed to enhancing returns for investors by harmonizing the interests of customers, employees, distribution and supply chain partners, and communities without whom there could be no returns to investors.

To help organizations and the public better understand the practical principles of stakeholder capitalism, the EEA  Golden Rule Alliance recognizes business and academic leaders whose work has or is advancing the principles of enhancing returns for investors only by creating value for customers, employees, distribution partners, communities, and the environment.

The EEA has experienced early positive feedback to this initiative of highlighting organizations or leaders whose efforts are contributing to the betterment of capitalism. A grass roots Linkedin social media effort by the Enterprise Engagement Alliance that has highlighted four CEOs, academics, and organizations supporting the principles of the Golden Rule in business has already attracted 7,500 views and 75 likes. Click here for information on the first honorees. A new honoree is selected each week and announced on Sunday.

The concept of using the Golden Rule to help people better understand the principles of stakeholder capitalism was inspired by a March 2025 YouTube show, Faith Based Capitalism, with Davin Salvagno, Founder, Purpose Summit; Mike Sharrow, Chief Executive Officer, C12 Business Forums, San Antonio; J.C. Hite, Founder and CEO of Hite Digital.

Note: The EEA is a non-partisan, non-sectarian business organization. As a result of this show, it became apparent that the principles of the Golden Rule are simpler way to explain the principles of stakeholder capitalism than “the application of the principles of total quality management” to people with an appropriate spiritual element of appeal to people of most religions and as well as to non-believers.

Golden Rule Alliance services:

The EEA already provides the world’s most comprehensive library and collection of services related to the understanding and implementation of stakeholder capitalism. Here is a roadmap for the services offered to support the application of the Golden Rule to business.
  • A new weekly Linkedin post series and growing library of leading organizations, business leaders, and academics whose work has advanced the application of the Golden Rule in business.
  • A template or service any organization can apply to creating a purpose re-set meeting based on the unifying principles of the Golden Rule. The agenda is ideal for retreat meetings designed to harmonize the interests of all stakeholders toward a common purpose, goals, objectives, and values and does not necessarily require outside services.
  • A web site that will highlight leaders as well as enable any organization to nominate themselves or their leaders and obtain customizable logos demonstrating their commitment for use in their organizations or homes.
  • A searchable database of organizations committed to the principles of the Golden Rule along with the ability to rate them.
  • Other unique ways for local civic organizations to use the Golden Rule as a fund-raising tool to be announced after the web site is launched in spring 2025.
