Impact of ISO Standards, Implementation Framework Focus of Engagement Education

This year’s Engagement University and Expo is particularly timely, considering the decision by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to approve the creation of formal standards for engagement that could one day apply to organizations throughout the world.

The program is designed for professionals in general management, sales, marketing, human resources, operations and finance in government and not-for-profits who are seeking to implement a formal strategic approach to engagement to achieve concrete organizational goals.

Lee S. Webster, Director, Employee Relations, University of Texas Medical Branch and U.S. Administrator of ISO Technical Advisory Group 260, will headline the program to explain the exciting implications of this development. This two-day event features:
  • A Ted-talk format of concise presentations on key areas of engagement presented by pioneers in the field.
  • Roundtable discussions with experts to address specific issues and challenges.
  • Opportunity to meet with suppliers of engagement technologies, products and services.
Attendees will leave with a formal framework and implementation process they can begin to apply immediately in their organizations.

Speakers include Gary Rhoads, Professor of Marketing, Marriott Graduate School of Business, Brigham Young University on the importance of the enterprise brand; Susan Forgie, Vice President, Training and Customer Experience, Assa Abloy, on best practices related to training and engagement; Deborah Weiss, Director, Workforce Science Project, Searle Center on Law, Regulation and Economic Growth, Northwestern University School of Law, on the use of predictive analytics in recruitment; Allan Schweyer, EEA Chairman, on preparation for the Certified Engagement Practitioner (CEP) program.

Fees are $695; $350 for EEA members (for up to two employees), and $350 for academics. One lunch is included.
